Controversial Prophet Mboro, who was alleged to have been caught up in heaven on Easter Sunday might have gotten into trouble. Recall that the pastor told worshipers that anyone who wants to see the selfies he took in heaven with the angels, must pay R5 000. Daily Sun SA reports that Prophet Mboro could face fraud charges. The Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities said they would lay charges of fraud against him if rumours that his church was selling the alleged selfies proved to be true.
“We encourage people to read the Bible for themselves, and not rely on others to interpret it for them!” said commission chairwoman Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva. “We believe Mboro is just looking for ways to extort money from people. We know he never went to heaven. He is deceiving people, We’re going to summon him to explain to us whether he said those things or if it’s a joke.” he concluded.
