The Nigerian Army has recorded major operational gains across several parts of the country, disrupting terrorist logistics networks, recovering weapons, and arresting suspects in coordinated operations conducted within the last 24 hours.

In the North-East, troops of the 192 Battalion ambushed suspected ISWAP/JAS fighters near Kuranabassa Village in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The terrorists were forced to retreat towards the Mandara Mountains after a fierce engagement. Soldiers recovered an AK-47 rifle, a magazine loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition, and other equipment from the scene.

Also in the North-East, troops of the 27 Task Force Brigade, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force, intercepted three vehicles suspected of transporting supplies to террорист groups along the Yunusari–Bukarti–Kala/Gamari route. Five suspects were arrested, while items recovered included solar panels, water pumps, construction materials, mobile phones, and cash.

In Kogi State, troops of the 12 Brigade intercepted a vehicle along the Obajana–Kabba Road carrying suspected террорист logistics. Two suspects were apprehended, and 314 rounds of ammunition, three AK-47 magazines, and mobile phones were recovered.

Meanwhile, in Katsina State, troops of the 17 Brigade carried out clearance operations in Musawa and Matazu Local Government Areas. Several террорист hideouts and support structures were destroyed across multiple villages, significantly weakening criminal networks in the area.

In Plateau State, troops under Operation ENDURING PEACE rescued 12 civilians trapped by insurgents and evacuated injured victims for medical treatment.

Operations also extended to the South-South and North-Central regions. In Rivers State, troops discovered and safely handled about 3,250 litres of suspected illegally refined petroleum products in Eleme Local Government Area.

In Taraba State, troops of the 114 Battalion arrested nine suspected terrorist informants linked to a notorious criminal kingpin and dismantled their hideouts.

The Nigerian Army says the operations reflect its ongoing commitment to dismantling terrorist networks, cutting off their supply chains, and ensuring the safety of communities nationwide. Citizens have been urged to continue providing timely and credible information to support security efforts.
