Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, is set to announce that he is leaving the club in the summer.
The midfielder has been with the Anfield club for 26 years and has scored 177 goals in 695 appearances.
Gerrard has turned down a contract extension at Liverpool and is expected to join MLS side, LA Galaxy, after his representatives began negotiations.
The former England international has already assured the Reds that he will not move to a rival team, like Frank Lampard who joined Manchester City after leaving Chelsea.
Although Gerrard has not lifted the Premier League, he has won the Champions League and several domestic trophies with the team.
