More facts have continued to emerge about the background and dispositions of the suspected mastermind of the second Nyanya bombing, Abubakar Sadiq Ogwuche, and his father, Col. Agene Ogwuche (rtd).
Over the past week, it has emerged that the suspected bomber may have been tutored in the ways of Islam by his father, who sources said, donated a mosque to Orokam, their home community in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State, some years ago.
Although the exact year of donation could not be ascertained, some members of the community, who spoke to Sunday Independence anonymously, disclosed that the mosque, which is located near Nkwo area of Orokam, is not less than 10 years old.
“The father of Sadiq is known to be a devoted Muslim, who hardly speaks Idoma language.
“He speaks more of Hausa, and the boy’s mother is from Zaria,” a member of the community, who would not want to be mentioned, told Sunday Independent.
