APGA National Chairman, Barr. Ezeokenwa Commends Anambra Police, INEC For Peaceful Anambra Election

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, has commended the Anambra State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, as well as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for ensuring a peaceful and credible conduct of the 2025 Anambra Governorship Election.

Ezeokenwa gave the commendation shortly after receiving the official report of the just-concluded election on Sunday, following the declaration of the APGA candidate, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, as the overall winner of the poll.

He described the peaceful outcome of the election as a reflection of improved coordination between security agencies and the electoral body.

According to the APGA National Chairman, the professional conduct of police personnel and other security operatives across the state helped to create an atmosphere of calm and order, which encouraged voter participation and safeguarded the integrity of the process.

“The police and other security agencies deserve commendation for their diligence and neutrality throughout the election period,” he said.

He also applauded INEC for the timely distribution of materials, transparency in result collation, and the effective use of technology through the Result Viewing Portal (IReV), which, he noted, enhanced public confidence in the exercise. Ezeokenwa maintained that the collaboration between INEC and the security agencies set a benchmark for future elections in Nigeria.

While congratulating Governor Soludo on his re-election, the APGA Chairman expressed optimism that the victory would further strengthen the party’s vision for good governance and sustainable development in Anambra State.

He urged other political parties and their supporters to accept the outcome of the election in the spirit of sportsmanship and join hands in moving the state forward.
