Renowned Nigerian photojournalist, Aishatu Shateema Bukar, widely known as Aisha Rabo, has added a new feather to her cap after emerging 3rd Runner-Up at the recently concluded African Empire Reality TV Show, Season 3 – Heroes Edition, held from July 29 to August 20, 2025.
Born in Bauchi State, Rabo has carved a remarkable niche in journalism with a career spanning over a decade. She currently serves as a Defence Correspondent with OurNigeria News Magazine and OurNigeriaTV24.
She previously worked as a Reporter and Marketer with Neptune Prime Online Newspaper and as a Public Relations Assistant at the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), where she honed her skills in media relations, corporate communications, and audience engagement.
Her exceptional performance on the continental reality show not only highlighted her charisma but also her ability to inspire and connect with people beyond the newsroom. This recognition follows a series of accolades, including winning the 17th edition of the Master at Photos Contest in April 2025, and representing Nigeria at the Africa Security Watch Conference in The Gambia in 2022.
Reflecting on her journey, Rabo expressed gratitude to her supporters, saying:
“This platform has given me a new opportunity to inspire others. Becoming 3rd Runner-Up is not just my win — it is for everyone who believed in me.”
From her early beginnings in Bauchi to becoming an internationally recognized journalist and now a continental reality TV finalist, Aisha Rabo’s story is one of resilience, excellence, and passion. She continues to embody the power of African women breaking barriers and shining on the global stage.
