NSA Hands Over 59 Rescued Kidnapped Victims To Kaduna Government


The National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, on Tuesday, handed over 59 kidnapped victims rescued by security agencies during joint operations to the Kaduna State Government.

Ribadu who presented the victims to the representative of the state government and chief of Staff to the Governor, Sani Kila, confirmed that their abductors abandoned them due to offensive operations of troops and no money was paid for their rescue.

In an interview with newsmen,Ribadu said the operation was both kinetic and non-kinetic, requiring efforts from all, not just the military’s kinetic efforts, and it is the result of combined efforts by the military and other security services.

In addition, the National Coordinator of, the  National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Major General Adamu Garba Laka,  confirmed that before their rescue, the rescued victims spent over four months in the captive of their abductors.

Ribadu assured that the security agencies would ensure the rescue of all persons held hostage and restore peace across the country.
