Nigeria Safer at the Moment than it was Between 2010-2015 - Lai Mohammed

The minister of information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohamed has reiterated that the country has security challenges but emphasized that it was worse between 2010 and 2015 than it is now.

Lai Mohammed made this known on Wednesday while speaking on a breakfast social political programme, AIT kaakaki.

The minister itemize that before 2015, the insurgents were controlling close to Ten states in Nigeria, maintaining that almost all places and schools in North East were shut or closed.

He also added that even before 2015, the Country could not have any celebrations like Xmas, Salah and more without  bombings citing the case of St Theresa Madalla, UN building bombing and more.

Alhaji Lai Mohamed  further said he knows the country has security challenges with kidnappings and the likes but added that the security forces are doing exceedingly well, maintaining that there no day that the security does not neutralize or arrest bandit or kidnappers.

He however said he is optimistic that the security architectures in the country will find a lasting solution to the menace of kidnappings , Banditry and all other insurgency in the country.

He therefore assures the country that the government of president Buhari will continue to do all within his reach, to protect lives and properties of Nigerians.
