Nigerian Air Force Raises Alarm Over Circulating Scam Recruitment Ads for 2025/2026 Intake

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has raised the alarm over the circulation of fake recruitment advertisements online, warning members of the public to disregard any claims that the Force has commenced recruitment for its 2025/2026 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) or Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC).

In a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the NAF described the circulating messages as fraudulent and misleading.

He clarified that no recruitment is currently ongoing, stressing that whenever there is an official exercise, it will be formally announced through credible national newspapers, the NAF’s official website, and verified social media handles.

Air Commodore Ejodame further cautioned that the NAF does not charge applicants any fee, nor does it engage third-party agents for recruitment purposes. He urged Nigerians to be vigilant and avoid falling prey to online scammers.

“For accurate and up-to-date information, members of the public should rely solely on the NAF’s official communication platforms,” he said, providing links to the Force’s verified Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok accounts, as well as its official website.

The NAF reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, transparency, and efficient service delivery, urging the public to report any suspicious recruitment-related activity.
