There’s so much that goes on before a movie is produced. There are at least five men behind the camera seeing the action while acting is ongoing and my wife is aware of that.
She knows women tend to gravitate towards entertainers and she’s sure I will never take advantage of that. That trust means so much to me. She laughs at some when they appear to be going overboard but always take our matters to God in prayer.
He that is standing should take heed lest he falls. One thing I love about my wife is that she has always been supportive of my career. She remains my back bone.
What is your view about being stereotyped to a particular character?
Well, I am not a stereotyped actor as most people feel because most fans believe that Odunlade cannot deliver lines very well aside from comic roles. The fact that people enjoy me most when I play the funny roles does not mean I cannot be good delivering on other characters.
Would you really consider yourself a comedian?
No, I’m not a comedian, but I make people laugh because of the way I play my roles, especially when I cry. My facial expression is enough to make you laugh. But the way I express any role given to me is always as a result of reading, understanding and digesting whatever role I am given to play. I express it the best way I feel it should be.

How do you combine production, acting and directing?
It is only God, although nothing good comes easily just like that, so I just have to plan my schedule for a production job and at the end everything works out fine for me. But sincerely it is tedious and time consuming.
Which is the most challenging role you played so far in the course of your career?
For now, there is no role that is too challenging for me to interpret because once I get the script, I ask the director for what he wants and I deliver it.
What is the craziest thing a female ever did to you?
I can’t really be specific now because you know female fans can be very naughty and nasty a time; but one of such thing a female fan did to me was to peck me and called other friends of ours to come see me and the way they all were screaming; I just joined them as well. There is no role that is too challenging for me to interpret.
