Veteran Juju musician, King Sunny Ade aka KSA has been announced as a visiting lecturer
for the department of music at the prestigious Obafemi
Awolowo University.
The Ondo State born multi-award winning musician has reportedly
been lecturing at The Polytechnic Ibadan before his new appointment at
the Ile-Ife, Osun State-based citadel of learning.
He is joining the league of ace singer turned preacher, Chief
Commander Ebenezer Obey, who has been a visiting Professor at
the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago
Iwoye, serving in the capacity of the music instructor.
Recall that popular ‘Guitar Boy’ Sir
Victor Uwaifo is also
a lecturer at Fine and Applied Art department, University
of Benin.
KSA’s appointment as visiting lecturer is a testament of his
contribution towards the growth of Nigerian music.
