David Duchovny and Tea Leoni have decided to call it quits.
The couple, who has been together since 1997, minus a brief separation in 2008, filed for divorce back in June, and everything went smoothly, since they settled the terms themselves.
David William Duchovny is an American actor, writer, and director. He is best known for playing Fox Mulder on The X-Files and Hank Moody on Californication, both of which have earned him Golden Globe awards.
Elizabeth Téa Pantaleoni, better known by her stage name Téa Leoni, is an American actress. She has starred in a wide range of films including Jurassic Park III, The Family Man, Deep Impact etc.
According to report, The reason given was an irretrievable breakdown of the relationship.
In the divorce, Tea will get $40,000 a month in spousal support, as well as $8,333 a month in child support, plus David is paying for their summer camp, private school, and college tuition, since Tea has primary physical custody.
Between the parents, they have a 15-year-old and 12-year-old. Fortunately, both parents live on the Upper West Side of NYC, so joint custody won’t be a tough thing to deal with.
We just can’t believe that they’re really divorced though!
Maybe David just wanted the Hank Moody lifestyle too much!
