The massive blaze ripped through a Bronx home Friday night, killing brothers Elijah Artis, 5, Jeremiah Artis, 2, and Michael Turner, 4 months. Neighbors identified the children's mother as Tashika Turner, who they say had lit candles for light after Con Edison shut off the apartment's power.
Ten others were hurt, including a critically injured child, as the fast-moving blaze destroyed a second-floor apartment on W. 165th St. near Woodycrest Ave. in Highbridge just after 8 p.m.

“I heard (the children) playing 10 minutes before everyone started screaming,” said tenant Valerie Frazier, 47. “Everybody heard them screaming for help. It’s so sad they had to burn to death.”Among the injured was a child who was clinging to life early Saturday at Lincoln Medical Center, an FDNY spokesman said.
