*Ex-lawmaker petitions Jega
A former member of the House of Representatives and claimant of Abia Central Senatorial District seat, Emeka Atuma, has petitioned the Chairman of (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, over allegations that the commission had been compromised to refuse to certify its documents. In a letter dated March 8 by his lawyer, Dejo Lamikanra (SAN), Atuma said despite several letters to the INEC Acting Director of Legal Service, Ibrahim Bawa, seeking the certification of the documents, the director is yet to oblige him.
