The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening inter-agency collaboration to combat cyber-enabled drug trafficking, financial crimes, and other forms of transnational organised crime.

The renewed commitment was made on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, when the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), CON, OFR, led a delegation of the Agency’s top management officials on a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) in Abuja.

The NDLEA delegation was received by the Commander of the Centre, Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Akaninyene Ezima, alongside senior officers of the NPF-NCCC.

During the meeting, both organisations held strategic discussions on enhancing intelligence sharing, strengthening operational cooperation, and expanding capacity-building initiatives to effectively tackle emerging threats posed by cyber-enabled criminal networks.

The agencies also explored technology-driven approaches to detecting, investigating, and disrupting cyber-enabled drug trafficking, financial crimes, and other transnational organised criminal activities.

The engagement underscored the importance of closer collaboration between law enforcement agencies in addressing evolving security challenges and leveraging modern technology to improve intelligence gathering, investigations, and coordinated enforcement operations.

The visit further highlighted the shared resolve of the NDLEA and the Nigeria Police Force to build stronger institutional partnerships aimed at safeguarding national security and protecting Nigeria from the growing threat of organised cybercrime and illicit drug networks.
