The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has assured residents of adequate security measures throughout the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging citizens to remain peaceful, vigilant, and law-abiding during the festive period.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful and all residents of the Territory, wishing them a peaceful and memorable celebration.
The police commissioner encouraged residents to embrace the values of peace, sacrifice, unity, and tolerance which Eid-el-Kabir represents.
CP Sanusi further disclosed that the Command has deployed strategic security measures across the FCT to ensure the protection of lives and property before, during, and after the celebrations.
According to him, the Command has intensified patrols, strengthened proactive policing operations, and made strategic deployments to guarantee public safety across the Territory.
He also urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station.
