The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has carried out an on-the-spot assessment of security arrangements at Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across Abuja.

The inspection, conducted on Thursday, April 16, 2026, is part of efforts by the FCT Police Command to ensure a smooth, peaceful, and disruption-free examination process for candidates participating in the nationwide exercise scheduled between April 16 and 18.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the move reflects the Command’s proactive approach to safeguarding candidates, examination officials, and facilities during the examination period.

During the visit, CP Sanusi evaluated the level of security deployment at various centres and engaged with supervisors to assess operational readiness. He assured them of sustained police presence and rapid response capabilities throughout the examination window.

The police chief reiterated the Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order, warning that any individual or group attempting to disrupt the examinations would face strict legal consequences.

Residents of the FCT were also urged to remain vigilant and support security efforts by reporting any suspicious activity to the police through designated emergency lines.

The FCT Police Command emphasized that the safety of residents and the integrity of public processes remain top priorities as it continues to strengthen security coordination across the territory.
