Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected logistics courier linked to Boko Haram/ISWAP in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security sources disclosed that the suspect, identified as Chari Kura, a native of Gajiram in Nganzai LGA, was apprehended at about 6:20 p.m. on April 20 at the Charlie 19 location in Monguno town.
The arrest followed credible intelligence indicating that the suspect was on a mission to deliver logistics supplies to terrorists operating in Bindur village, Kukawa Local Government Area.
Items recovered from the suspect include 180 mosquito coils, 12 packs of Jolly Jus, an Itel mobile phone, and the sum of N500.
The suspect is currently in the custody of Sector 3, where he is undergoing further interrogation and necessary administrative procedures.
Military authorities noted that the arrest forms part of sustained operations aimed at disrupting terrorist supply networks and denying insurgents access to critical logistics within the theatre of operations.
