The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially commenced the sale of application documents for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) admission exercise.
The examination body disclosed this in an announcement posted on its official X account, stating that the registration process began on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will end on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
According to JAMB, the entire process, including the purchase of e-PINs and application documents, is restricted strictly to its accredited state and zonal offices nationwide.
The board emphasised that candidates are required to visit only designated JAMB offices to complete the registration in order to ensure transparency, prevent fraud, and maintain the integrity of the admission process.
Direct Entry admission allows candidates with recognised qualifications such as National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), A-Level certificates, or other approved equivalents to gain admission directly into the 200 level of university programmes without sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The commencement of the Direct Entry registration follows the successful conclusion of the 2026 UTME registration exercise, which closed on February 28.
JAMB advised prospective applicants to adhere strictly to the guidelines and timelines, warning that the board would not extend the deadline.
The board also urged candidates to ensure that their credentials are authentic and verifiable, stressing that all submitted documents will undergo thorough screening during the admission process.
