The Nigeria Police Force has announced that the screening exercise for shortlisted applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 police constables will take place in Delta State from March 9 to April 18, 2026.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Bright Edafe, said the screening will be conducted at the Cenotaph in Asaba in collaboration with the Police Service Commission.

According to the statement, candidates are required to log on to the official recruitment portal to confirm their status and print their invitation slips, which will indicate their screening date and assigned table.

Applicants are expected to present several documents at the venue, including their invitation slip, screening forms, medical fitness certificate from a government-recognised hospital, National Identification Number (NIN) printout or NIMC card, O’ Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and local government or state of origin certificate duly signed by the appropriate authorities. Specialists must also present their trade test certificates.

Candidates are further required to submit both original and duplicate copies of their credentials arranged in separate white flat files with passport photographs attached.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Aina Adesola, emphasised that the recruitment process is free of charge and will be conducted transparently and based strictly on merit. He warned applicants to beware of fraudsters demanding money in connection with the exercise, stressing that anyone caught engaging in such activities will be arrested and prosecuted.

All applicants are also expected to appear for the screening dressed in white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes and white stockings as prescribed.

The command urged candidates with complaints or inquiries to contact the designated phone lines provided by the police.
