Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with local vigilantes and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have neutralised a suspected Boko Haram fighter and recovered logistics items during a successful ambush operation at Gwadale deserted village along the Ngoshe–Kirawa road in Adamawa State.

Sources disclosed that the operation was carried out at about 12:50 a.m. on Thursday, following credible intelligence on the movement of suspected terrorists conveying logistics supplies within the axis. The troops swiftly engaged the insurgents in a firefight, deploying a high volume of rounds.

During the encounter, one of the suspected terrorists was neutralised, while others reportedly fled in disarray with possible gunshot wounds.

Subsequently, the troops conducted exploitation of the general area and recovered one carton of Klin detergent and a bag of salt believed to be intended for insurgent use. The troops later returned safely to their forward operating base in Pulka at about 2:30 a.m. the same day.

Security officials stated that the operation underscores the sustained commitment of Operation HADIN KAI to degrade Boko Haram’s operational capabilities, disrupt their supply chains, and restore lasting peace and security across the North East region.
