The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to continuity of leadership and institutional memory during a courtesy visit to a former Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Nunayon Amosu, in Lagos.

The engagement, which formed part of the CAS’s operational visit to Lagos, was marked by reflections on the evolution of the Nigerian Air Force and the enduring value of experience in shaping effective airpower.

Air Marshal Aneke described the interaction as a symbolic demonstration of the Service’s deep respect for past leadership and its tradition of drawing strength from those who laid the foundations of present achievements.

He noted that sustained airpower development is best achieved by maintaining close ties with former leaders whose operational insight, strategic foresight, and professional legacy continue to influence doctrine, training, and long-term planning within the Nigerian Air Force.

In his response, Air Marshal Amosu commended the current leadership of the Nigerian Air Force and expressed confidence in its ongoing efforts to enhance professionalism, operational effectiveness, and capacity development.

He emphasized the importance of unity of purpose, mentorship, and continuity in leadership as key drivers of institutional growth.

The visit underscored the Nigerian Air Force’s enduring culture of respect for service, shared values, and generational leadership continuity in the pursuit of national security objectives.
