Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have recorded another operational success following a well-coordinated offensive against terrorist elements in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, resulting in the neutralisation of five terrorists and the rescue of kidnapped civilians.
A statement issued by the Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, disclosed that the troops, working in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), engaged the terrorists in a fierce encounter. During the operation, five terrorists were neutralised, underscoring the professionalism, precision and combat effectiveness of the security forces.
The statement further revealed that three civilians abducted by the terrorists were successfully rescued during the operation.
Items recovered from the terrorists included AK-47 rifles and other sundry materials.
According to the statement, the successful operation highlights Operation HADIN KAI’s sustained commitment to aggressive offensive actions against terrorist elements, while prioritising the protection of civilians. It also underscores the critical importance of effective collaboration with local security stakeholders in degrading terrorist capabilities.
Troops’ morale remains high, and security forces continue to dominate the operational environment across the North East Theatre, despite evolving security dynamics.
