As part of activities marking the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day 2026, an interdenominational church service was held at the National Christian Centre.
The solemn service brought together senior military officers, personnel of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, government officials, clergy, and members of the public to honour fallen heroes who paid the supreme sacrifice in the defence of the nation.
Prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of departed service members, the protection of troops on active duty, and enduring peace and security across Nigeria. The service also underscored the importance of unity, faith, and national gratitude for the courage and dedication of the Armed Forces.
The interdenominational church service forms part of nationwide activities commemorating the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day.
