Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have intercepted a large consignment of suspected terrorists’ logistics in Mayo Nguli, Maiha Local Government Area of Adamawa State, dealing a significant blow to insurgent supply networks.

The interception, which occurred on 4 January 2026, led to the seizure of 45 jerrycans of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), estimated at about 1,125 litres, believed to have been smuggled to support terrorist activities in the North East.

In a press statement, the Media Information Officer of OPHK, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, disclosed that the suspected suppliers fled on sighting the troops, abandoning the petroleum products, which have since been taken into military custody for further action. He added that the operation was conducted without incident and recorded no casualties.

The successful operation underscores OPHK’s unwavering resolve to dismantle terrorist networks, disrupt logistics and supply chains, and prevent future attacks across the theatre of operations.

Headquarters Operation HADIN KAI has again urged members of the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies, stressing that timely information and public support remain critical to sustaining peace and security across the North East region.
