The newly appointed Commandant of the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre (MLAILPKC), Dangana Allu, has undertaken a familiarisation visit to the Headquarters Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, as part of his post-assumption tour of formations and establishments within the Jaji Military Cantonment.
The visit, which took place on Friday, 30 January 2026, underscored the Commandant’s resolve to further strengthen professional ties and deepen collaboration between MLAILPKC and NASI. Major General Allu noted that the engagement was necessary to consolidate the long-standing partnership between both institutions, particularly in view of their shared training objectives. He also solicited the sustained support of NASI to ensure the seamless conduct of courses and other training activities at the Centre.
In his response, the Commandant NASI, Frank Etim, congratulated Major General Allu on his well-deserved appointment, describing MLAILPKC as a strategically relevant institution in the Nigerian Army’s training architecture. He stated that the collaboration between NASI and MLAILPKC has continued to yield significant benefits and expressed optimism that the partnership would grow stronger.
Major General Etim further assured the visiting Commandant of NASI’s unwavering support whenever required, while wishing him a successful and impactful tour of duty at MLAILPKC.
The visit featured an inspection of the quarter guard, interactive engagements with senior officers, signing of the visitors’ register, exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph.
Confirming the development, the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, NASI, Shamsudeen Umar, stated that the visit “reinforces the Nigerian Army’s commitment to synergy among its training institutions, aimed at sustaining high professional standards and effective capacity development.”
The engagement further reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s resolve to promote institutional cooperation in support of leadership development, peacekeeping excellence, and operational effectiveness.
