The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has received nine Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) who recently completed the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 47/2025 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.
The Senior Executive Course, which commenced in March 2025, was successfully concluded on December 13, 2025. The programme is designed to equip senior officers with strategic leadership, policy formulation and national security management skills necessary for effective service delivery at the highest levels of public administration.
During the courtesy visit, the DCPs formally presented a comprehensive report of their coursework and research findings to the Inspector-General of Police. The report highlighted key policy insights, strategic approaches and recommendations relevant to policing, internal security and national development.
In his remarks, IGP Egbetokun congratulated the officers on the successful completion of the rigorous programme and commended their commitment to continuous professional development. He charged them to effectively integrate the knowledge and strategic perspectives acquired during the course into their various areas of responsibility, with a view to strengthening operational efficiency, professionalism and service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.
The IGP reaffirmed the Force leadership's commitment to capacity building and advanced training as critical pillars for modern policing, stressing that the experience and exposure gained at NIPSS would significantly enhance the officers’ contributions to national security and public safety.
