President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, on his birthday, describing him as an audacious performer who consistently delivers results despite challenges.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, the President joined family, friends and associates to celebrate the former Governor of Rivers State, thanking God for a life marked by purpose, service and courage.
President Tinubu praised Chief Wike’s resilience, can-do spirit and commitment to excellence, noting that these qualities have continued to reflect in his performance as FCT Minister.
The President specifically highlighted the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory under Wike’s leadership, citing major infrastructure expansion projects, including the recent breakthrough in the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, which had been stalled for 14 years.
According to the statement, President Tinubu acknowledged Wike as one of the shining stars of his cabinet, applauding his role as a key driver of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” the President said.
President Tinubu further commended the Minister for being one of the champions of the Renewed Hope Agenda, despite belonging to a different political party, and wished him good health, renewed strength and continued success as he marks another year in his life journey.
The President concluded by thanking Chief Wike for his consistent efforts in delivering tangible results and for his dedication to advancing development in the nation’s capital.
