The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has approved the posting of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mohammed Adeola as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Airport Police Command, Lagos State. The appointment follows the recent redeployment of Police Public Relations Officers across Commands and Formations of the Nigeria Police Force.

Announcing the development, the outgoing Police Public Relations Officer of the Airport Command, CSP Daramola Kazeem, said ASP Adeola brings a strong blend of operational policing experience and professional communication expertise to his new role.

ASP Mohammed Adeola, a native of Ibadan, Oyo State, is an alumnus of the Nigeria Police Academy, where he joined the Force in 2018 as a Cadet ASP of Regular Course 5. He graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry after five years of combined academic and police training. In recognition of his exemplary conduct, he was awarded Best Cadet Officer in Character.

Upon commissioning, ASP Adeola was posted to the Osun State Command, serving at Ota-Efun Division, where he handled key policing duties including crime investigation, traffic management, and administrative responsibilities.

He was subsequently deployed to the Force Headquarters, Abuja, where he served as a Staff Officer in the Force Public Relations Department. During this period, he worked closely with senior police communication professionals, including DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, former Force Public Relations Officer, and CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the current FPRO. This exposure further strengthened his competence in modern police communication, media relations, and strategic public relations management.

ASP Adeola is expected to leverage his experience to enhance public engagement, strengthen stakeholder relations, and advance the communication objectives of the Airport Police Command in line with the vision of the Nigeria Police Force.
