Businessman Excretes 127 Cocaine Wraps at MAKIA as NDLEA Uncovers Meth in Ceramics

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 52-year-old businessman, Ejiofor Godwin Emeka, at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano, after he excreted a total of 127 wraps of cocaine concealed in his stomach and private parts.

According to Femi Babafemi, NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Ejiofor, who runs boutiques in Lagos and Onitsha, Anambra State, arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, via an Ethiopian Airlines flight (ET 941) on Wednesday, 8th October 2025. Acting on credible intelligence, NDLEA officers apprehended him for a body scan, which confirmed he had ingested illicit drugs and concealed some in his underwear.

During the operation, 58 wraps of cocaine were recovered from his underwear, while 69 additional pellets were excreted in seven rounds of observation, bringing the total to 127 wraps weighing 1.388 kilograms of cocaine.

Meanwhile, NDLEA operatives in Lagos intercepted three consignments of illicit drugs heading to the United Kingdom between 9th and 10th October. One shipment contained 1.74 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden inside glass ceramics, another held 114 grams and 168 grams of pentazocine and tramadol injections, while the third comprised 48 grams of tramadol capsules disguised as Vitamin C.

The agency also thwarted attempts to ship 2.6 kilograms of skunk and 422 grams of tapentadol 250mg concealed in black soap tablets to Turkey, 169 grams of cocaine hidden in ladies’ handbags bound for Australia, and 568 grams of Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, disguised in herbal containers en route to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
