The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) has congratulated His Majesty, Nnaemeka Achebe, CFR, mni, the Obi of Onitsha and Agbogidi, on the celebration of the 2025 Ofala Festival.
In a congratulatory message signed by the President of AANI, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, the Association extolled the revered monarch’s exemplary leadership, wisdom, and commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Onitsha Kingdom.
Ambassador Okafor described the Ofala Festival as a “time-honoured institution that reflects the unity, heritage, and cultural sophistication of the Onitsha people,” noting that the festival also symbolizes His Majesty’s devotion to peace, progress, and tradition.
He further commended the Obi of Onitsha for his “towering contributions to national development,” his role as a member of the AANI Heritage Council, and his embodiment of “excellence, integrity, and patriotism,” which continue to inspire members of the Association across the nation.
“As Your Majesty and the great people of Onitsha celebrate this year’s Ofala Festival, we pray that the Almighty continues to grant you good health, divine wisdom, and strength to reign in peace and continue your noble service to humanity and our dear nation,” the message read in part.
The statement concluded with AANI reaffirming its highest regard for the monarch and its continued admiration for his leadership and commitment to nation-building.
