The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (AC OPHK), has intensified its offensive operations in the North East, neutralising dozens of terrorists and destroying their hideouts in Borno State.
NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, in a statement on Thursday, revealed that the precision strikes were conducted on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, at about 10:50 a.m., following credible intelligence and surveillance reports of unusual movements at Bula Madibale, in the Gezuwa general area of Borno State.
According to him, reconnaissance footage showed about 45 terrorists converging at the location, with some arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from different directions. Two terrorist flags were spotted hoisted at the site, indicating it served as a major rallying point and operational base for the insurgents.
“Acting on this intelligence, the Air Component launched a well-coordinated air interdiction mission, resulting in devastating effects on the target. Several terrorists were eliminated, while their flagged structure and other hostile assets were completely destroyed,” the statement read.
Ejodame stressed that the operation demonstrates the NAF’s unwavering commitment to denying terrorists the ability to regroup or launch attacks on innocent communities.
He further assured Nigerians that the Armed Forces remain fully committed to restoring peace and stability across the North East and other troubled regions of the country.
