The Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy, Maj Gen JO Ochai has emphasized the need for a collective effort to address insecurity in Nigeria, stressing that all citizens must play a role in providing information to security agencies to tackle insecurity effectively.
Maj Gen JO Ochai said this while delivering a lecture, on "Insecurity, Leadership and Peace Building in Nigeria: Dynamics and Challenges," at Afe Babalola University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State.

Ochai praised Afe Babalola University's founder, Emmanuel Aare Afe Babalola, for investing in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability. He highlighted how Babalola's efforts have sparked innovative ideas among students and staff, contributing to progress in various sectors.
The university, established in 2009, has become a reputable institution with six colleges, including medicine, law, engineering, and social sciences.
During the interactive session, participants addressed security concerns and issues. The lecture generated significant interest among students and staff, demonstrating the university's commitment to fostering informed discussions on critical national issues
To commemorate the occasion, Ochai presented a souvenir to Babalola, further solidifying the partnership between the Nigerian Defence Academy and Afe Babalola University.
