Edo Governorship Election: INEC Chairman Kicks off 3-Day Readiness Assessments Visit

...Inspects election materials in Ikpoba-Okha, Egor, two other LGAs 

The Chairman of the Independent National Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu on Tuesday has Kicked off a 3-Day Readiness Assessments Visit in Edo state to inspect none sensitive materials meant for a smooth, free, fair and credible off-cycle governorship election billed for Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Professor Yakubu visited the stores of four Local Government Areas (LGAs)

Professor Yakubu's first port of call for the 3-Day Assessment Visit to Edo state was at INEC office at Ikpoba-Okha LGA where he was taken on the tour of  the store by the Commission's State Electoral Officer (EO) Mr. James Gamble who also answered questions posed by the Chairman on the preparedness of the local branch for the upcoming governorship election. 

Satisfied with what he met on ground, the excited INEC Boss and his entourage including some INEC National Commissioners and top management staff visited Egor LGA where the EO Mr. Boma Bamson conducted Yakubu round the office complex and showed him the none sensitive materials ready for the election day deployment and utilisation.
