Supreme Council for Sharia Commends CDS For His Tenacious Commitment Handling Tudun Biri, Kaduna Incidence

The leadership of the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria led by Dr Bashir Aliyu Umar has commended the the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa for for providing pivotal leadership style which is people Centric.

Dr Bashir Aliyu Umar gave the commendation to the CDS today, 14 December, 2023 when he led his team on visit to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja. 

Dr Bashir Aliyu Umar maintained that leaders must not leave in affluence when the majority leave in abject poverty. 

He also said the CDS leadership style has shown visible positive changes  in the entire security architecture of the country. 

He further appreciated the CDS for his tenacious commitment to addressing the Tudun Biri incidence. He commended the CDS for his empathy and show of concern to the victims of the Tudun Biri drone attack. 

In his remarks during the occasion, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa assured the council of the Armed Forces of Nigeria ( AFN) undauting  commitment to ensuring peace in the country. 

Director, Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau on a press statement said the CDS added that the recent Tudun-Biri incident in Kaduna was unfortunate and highly regrettable. General Musa pledged to sincerely find the cause and promised a lasting solutions to avoid future occurrence. In his words,  "We will do everything possible to get to the bottom and ensure it happens no more." 

The CDS also noted that there are few security challenges in the country, particularly in the North West. He called on leadership at all level to fight criminality by providing purposeful leadership and development.
