The Allied People's Movement (APM) has again notified and appealed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to kindly look at the merits of the Court Order and be wary of one YUSUF MAMMAN DANTALLE who has been parading himself as the National Chairman of the Party.
APM National Chairman, Alhaji Muhammed M Bagana appealed today, 14th December 2023 at a press briefing of the party National Working Committee in Abuja.
Bagana said the alleged imposter, YUSUF MAMMAN DANTALLE uses the name of the party as a trademark to enjoy patronage from stakeholders and the general public to the detriment of the Party and its genuine members desirous to offer credible services to the citizens.
He appealed to the INEC Chairman, to dissociate himself and his organisation from Yusuf Mamman Dantalle and recognise the elected members of the National Working Committee led by his humble self for the benefit of our citizens. Copies of the court judgement are not far-fetched for your necessary action.
He also called on IPAC to take this as a clarion call to effect the necessary changes in its leadership where Yusuf Mamman Dantalle is the National Secretary. "This press conference, I believe, is an eye opener to many people who might not have known the personality of this IMPOSTER," he alleged
He revealed that there an existing 4-Count Charges against Yusuf Dantalle at the Lokoja Federal High Court 1, instituted by the Department of State Security and bordering on security threats to his personality since 2021.
He also called on the general public to see YUSUF MAMMAN DANTALLE as an IMPOSTOR and not the National Chairman of the party, the Allied People's Movement (APM).
He warned that "anyone transacting with him on this premise does so at his/her own risk. I therefore declare to our stakeholders, especially IPAC, INEC, Civil Society Organizations, and other political parties that YUSUF MAMMAN DANTALLE does not represent our party, APM in any capacity whatsoever. "
He noted that there is an existing Federal High Court Judgement that dissolved the leadership of Yusuf Mamman Dantalle at all levels and transferred administration and management of the Party to Members of the Board of Trustees for 3 months within which Congresses and Convention be conducted to democratically elect officers of the party at all levels. This has been successfully done, and "I am the National Chairman of Our Great Party, the APM."
According to the APM National Chairman, the alleged imposter attitude led to a suit instituted against him and the Party in the Federal High Court, Abuja, by two aggrieved members of the party who were victims of his actions.
"Furthermore, his characteristics of 'I know it all" and individualistic operational model led him to collect money for Party Nomination Fees through his account from a Governorship Candidate of Anambra State during the off-season election in 2021 to the tune of N17m (Seventeen Million Naira Only).
"This, he attested to doing by confirmation of his action with presentation of his personal Bank Account Statement to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in the presence of other Police Officers and Party Members, upon investigation of the petition written to the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command by party members, where such transaction of N1m each at daily transfers of N4m was seen to have taken place from the same source in his bank statement.
"Such criminal act is condemnable for an ordinary citizen not to talk of the leader of a political party that brandishes INTEGRITY, SACRIFICE, SERVICE to the public, moreso serving as a platform that seeks to bring up leaders for the country," he said
SpyeTV News recall that the Allied People's Movement (APM) has been in the news among bloggers, the conventional print and electronic media, as well as the social media since February 2022 when two third majority of members of the National Working Committee suspended YUSUF MAMMAN DANTALLE and his cohort, AYODELE OYADAIYI Adebayo, both former National Chairman and Secretary respectively for misuse of office, flagrant abuse of the Party's Constitution and other party instruments of authority as well as guidelines of effective party administration and management by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
