Deji of Akure, Aiyedatiwa, Others Congratulate Kayode Ajulo on Elevation to Rank of SAN


It was an evening of celebration at the Abuja Continental Hotel, formerly known as Sheraton Hotels Abuja at the conferment ceremony and the dinner party held in honor of Dr Kayode Ajulo who was recently elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC). 

Congratulating Dr Ajulo, the deputy governor of Ondo State, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa describing the honour as “well-deserved”. He said he recognized his excellent knowledge of the law, his consummate advocacy skills as a legal practitioner as well as his love for human rights and desire to ensure that such rights are respected following the work he has been doing.

Speaking to SpyeTV at the conferment ceremony and dinner which was held on Monday,  27 November, 2023, the Deji of Akure land, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, said he is a fabulous son of Akure, adopted son of Akure, and he is loved by all.

The Deji of Akure expressed joy that the elevation of Dr Kayode Ajulo would further add to the eminent positions of Akure Indigenes in the law profession. He is a generous, humble, so focus and brilliant and the sky is the limit. 

In his word, a retired acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Housing, Engr. Yemi Oguntominiyi described Dr Ajulo as a man of achievement, wonderful, loving and kind hearted, man that fight for common man, he stand for truth, and he is an upright person.

Engr. Niyi Fatoba in his word described Dr Ajulo's elevation as well deserved. He said he has been contributing to both development and the legal aspect of the country. He believe in the rule of law and he is going to do well.

In a congratulatory message to dignitaries that graced the occassion, Dr. Olukayode Ajulo, SAN, OON said "I am deeply humbled and honored by your presence at my conferment ceremony and the dinner held in my honor. Your unwavering support and gracious presence have made this occasion truly remarkable and memorable for me.

"To be recognized as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria is an immense privilege and a testament to years of hard work, dedication, and passion for the legal profession. I am grateful for the significant role you play wittingly and unwittingly in this is journey. Your guidance, encouragement, and belief in my abilities have been invaluable, and I owe a debt of gratitude to you. 

"Your well wishes and kind gestures will forever be etched in my heart. I am truly grateful for your support and look forward to continuing our shared pursuit of justice and legal excellence. May the Almighty keep you and continue to enlarge your coast."

Dr. Ajulo was formally conferred with the rank of SAN, along with 57 other lawyers, at the Supreme Court in Abuja on November 27, 2023.
