The National Youth Committee of Police Community Relations Committee PCRC has today 5th June, 2023 gave back to the society to mark the May 27th Children's Day at Police Officers Wives Association POWA's School at Deidei, Abuja with the donation of educational materials.
The materials include notebooks, ballpoint pen, pencils, sharpeners, and stockings among others.
Special Guest of Honour, the wife of the Inspector-General of Police, Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali Baba said that the donation by PCRC youth wing was to assist POWA with learning materials to mark the Children's Day
She said that a lot of pupils in the school were in need of the donated items, noting that the idea was a welcome development.
National Youth Cordinator, PCRC National Youth Committee, Engr. Junaid Olatunji Victor, in his remarks said the presentation seeks to promote book reading and encourage love for education among the younger generations to help in having writing materials and books in school.
Highlight of the event includes, presentation of branded exercise books to the school, presentation of Monetary Award to three best students in Mathematics, English and Basic Science
