Ogun Traditional Rulers Express Willingness to Support Army For Adequate Security


The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi CFR and the Alake of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo CFR have  expressed will to support, collaborate and synergize with the Nigerian Army at all time times in order to secure the territories.

The monarchs made this pledge when the Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Mohammed Aminu paid a courtesy visit to their palaces respectively to pay homage to the monarchs in Ogun State.

His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi CFR appreciated the presence of the Nigerian Army in Remo land saying that it has drastically reduced the crime rate, incessant cultism and other social vices. 

Also in his word the Alake while responding to the commander, said that since the establishment of the military presence in Ogun, there have never been misunderstandings, clashes or disagreements. 

He urged Brigadier General Aminu to also maintain high cordial relationships and not hesitate to contact the monarch on information sharing and intelligence gathering.

In his courtesy remarks, General Aminu said the familiarization tour avails him the opportunity to discuss critical issues with stakeholders, institutions, and, traditional rulers within Ogun state.

According to the Brigade Commander, 'security is a collective responsibility', and therefore assured the good people of Ogun State of his determination to ensure peace is maintained at all times.

Furthermore, Brigadier General Aminu disclosed that his visit was to also to pay homage to the monarchs as a mark of respect as well as to seek for royal blessings and prayers while discharging his duties.
