... GOC extols University of Ibadan for maintaining High standard of learning

Professor Olawale Albert from University of Ibadan, Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies has said that the his faith rekindled in the country having discovered that there are excellent officers in the Nigerian Army. 

Prof Albert said this when he led his team from the university's Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies on a courtesy call on the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Aminu Chinade in Ibadan.

Professor Olawale Albert said that they were in the Division to identify with the GOC as a board member of the institute and to also welcome him to the Division. He pointed out that he has worked in different capacities with the Nigerian military and also toured many countries, and that he feels proud.

He extends the greetings of the Vice Chancellor, management and the university community to the GOC, describing 2 Division as very significant to the institution.

Responding, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Aminu Chinade extolled the management of the University of Ibadan for maintaining the high standard of learning the institution is known for over the years.

The GOC, an alluminus of the university and the institute said the Nigerian Army and indeed 2 Division are happy to be part of the success story of the university, noting that hundreds of officers, soldiers and their families have benefited greatly from the citadel of learning.   

He assured of the Divisions assistance and also used the occasion to extend the goodwill of the Division to the Vice Chancellor and the university community, pointing out that the two institution will continue to remain partners in progress.
