Troops and participants of the In-Theatre Train the Trainers' Course Batch 5 of 2022 have been charged to be more professional and brutal while dealing with the enemy, emphasizing that "this is a Nigerian war, all hands must be on deck to ending this age long insurgency in the North East.
The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force, North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General CG Musa gave the charge on Friday, 21 October, 2022 when the Theatre Training School (TTS) graduated 146 participants of the In-Theatre Train the Trainers' Course Batch 5 of 2022 at the school's auditorium in Maimalari Military Cantonment, Maiduguri.
The graduands comprises of 71 personnel of the Nigerian Army and 75 personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps.
Major General CG Musa expressed appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya for his support and provision of requisite logistics and equipment needed for the smooth running of the school. Equally, he thanked the training team and instructors for good job they have been doing.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Theatre Training Officer (TTO), Brigadier General SJA Ilorin stated that the course was "designed to expose participants to basic combat strategies and internal security operations as well as regimentation, discipline and socialization amongst others.
The course curriculum for this batch was specially designed and improved upon to broadening participants knowledge on contemporary security challenges and enhance the combat readiness of troops", he added.
