The National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Sunday Asefon on Friday has lauded the Nigeria Police Force for arresting a suspect with Unauthorised NANS Number Plate.
He warned that those found with NANS number plates and are not executive members of the association from State, Zonal or National level to desist or will henceforth, be arrested and persecuted.
The National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Sunday Asefon issued the warning while speaking with SpyeTV News when he appeared at the Force Headquarters to identify a suspect arrested by police fornusing NANS nimber plate on Friday in Abuja.
Asefon said, some criminals were fond of using the vehicle number plates belonging to NANS to perpetrate crimes across the country.
He reiterated that the association is working hands in hands with the Police Force and the Road Safety to secure the country from people indulging in such heinous acts as it would not be business as usual.
On ASUU Strike, the NANS President employ students to remain calm and exercise patient as the leadership of NANS is working towards a lasting solution to the problem.
"We met witht th Minister of Labour on Thursday and he has given us his word that, the issue of ASUU strike will be a thing of the past.", he said.
On 2023 elections, the NANS president advised students not to play partisan politics but support credible candidates that would change the story of Nigeria.
He opined that, there is no crime for students going into politics because politics is being played even in school, family.
