Osinachi Nwachukwu mother, sister and twin sister in an interview with BBC Pidgin, Hyacinth Ogbu narrated how Osinachi husband, Peter Nwachukwu refused them to be close the later singer.
Mrs Madu, Osinachi mother from her painful heart said, "It's so painful for me for having this type of in law who came to marry my daughter Osinachi.
What I have experienced in the hand of this man, I am not sure it's existing in this world.
Since the day the man married my daughter, my daughter lack peace and I also don't experience peace at all.
Osinachi mother further said, after the wedding, she didn't see her daughter again until after 8 years. "When she gave birth, her husband didnt inform me that my daughter gave birth, it was people outside that came to inform me", she said.
At first, the talented gospel musician didn't inform any members of her paternal family what she is going through in her marriage.
Mrs Madu said, it was people that used to inform her what her daughter was passing through in the marriage.
"People are the one informing me on what my daughter was passing through in the Marriage. She added that, "One person that lived in the same compound with us in 74 Nike Road, they grow up together called us to do something about the abuse my daughter was facing".
Favour Mmadu decided to go to her house to take Osinachi from her husband's house.
Mrs Madu said one day she receive call from her daughter- by dat time Osinachi just gave birth to their child, said she had really suffered and nobody is taking care of her and what Peter did to her is too much.
"She call her father to say, this is what Peter said, that, if she did not go home Alive, she will go in death."
This made her eldest sister, Favour Mmadu, travel to Abuja to get Osinachi and her children back to her fathers house in Enugu.
"With my money, I traveled to Abuja to get Osinachi back home, I paid her transport…"
She spent one year and three months in her father's house before Peter Nwachukwu came back to apologise and beg to return home with his wife.
Mrs Madu said, she really didn't want her to continue with the marriage.
The mother waned her gaughter to divorce and get another man to marry.
"Osinachi opened her mouth, I will say the truth mama, God said, What God has joined together let's no man put asunder i will go back to Peter". I told her not to return to Peter, instead she can marry another husband. But she said she can't marry another husband, said she is married she did wedding, no more separation."
But when Osinachi returned to her marriage the husband began abuse her all over again.
Favour, the elder sister said: "I called my sister: 'Osinachi (you) and Peter are quarreling again, stay on your own, let Peter stay on his own. No that, you are fighting but let's see if he will change.
But Osinachi didnt take her sisters advice, she remained in marriage.
Osinachi beg Mummy Enenche for help
Although the popular gospel musician gave birth to four children in the marriage, her mother don't biskt her in Abuja, she didnt go for the traditional 'omuguo'.
"I don't know where they live in Abuja. The first pregnancy, I didnt go to take care of my daughter and her baby. The second child came I didn't go too.
"The husband don't want to see me and my family"
She said the first time she came visiting was when she was sick.
"I was sick,bi began to fall sick then, Osinachi met mummy Enenche - the wife of the founder of Dunamis Gospel Centre Pastor Paul - begged her that what is important to her is to take care of her mother and her husband, she didn't want her mother to die in their house."
"Mummy Enenche begged Peter, and he agreed. I stay only one month in the house before (Peter) pursued me and my son."
Mrs Madu lamented her daughters marriage that if this is the type of marriage that is an option for her daughter, its better for her to stay single.
Peter dont want Osinachi and I stand together Amarachi, twin sister
Amarachi, who is the late singers twin sister shared some experiences she faced when she attended a convention for Abuja.
Amarachi said her twin sister didnt want marry Peter
She said, she was to sing on stage with her sister at the convention but her later didn't want her to sing with her again.
"My sister told me that we can't sing together again, we had already sew cloth to use...
We didn't put on the cloth again, Peter disagree. When the day came, I sat down waited for my sister.
Thw next thing, one brother Shango came to ask me, 'Mama,, hope you can sing alone?' I saidn yes."
Amarachi said her brother-in-law drove to the front of the Church, dragged her sister inside the car and locked her up in the house.
The twin said Osinachi didnt show up, she had to sing alone at the event.
Another experience according to Amarachi na was when she traveled to Lagos for church programme.
Peter ordered the keyboardist not to allow the two sister near each other on stage.
"Hendoesnt want us to come close together on stage. The keyboardist used to tell us to separate on stage that, he doesn't want issues with Peter"
"Osinachi didnt want to marry Peter"
Peter Nwachukwu first saw Osinachi at a glorious singers programme in Abuja where she attended with her twin sister Amarachi Grace Eze.
Amarachi said Peter chased Osinachi, but her twin sister refused to accept his love proposal.
"Peter Nwachukwu, when he saw us, he collected my phone number, Osinachi didnt agree to to marry Peter Nwachukwu. Osinachi refused, she didn't agree. Peter Nwachukwu would call me to appeal to me to beg and persuade my sister.
"I told Him, Osinachi didnt agree because she said, she doesn't understand the man. How they started relationship is still a misery to me because they didn't go into courtship, they just agree and got married."
Everything happened, marriage rites and all that, Amarachi said, "Peter didnt have my number again".
