Members of Boko Haram/ ISWAP have abducted three girls during an operation in a village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.
The attack took place on Tuesday at Yimirmigza, village in Chibok.
According to a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst Zagazola Makama, a recorded phone conversation between the an ISWAP member and a family of the victims indicated that the girls were held hostage in one of the camps in Sambisa forest by the terrorists.
In the conversation that ensued, the brother of the girls asked the militant on how they could help release the girls, but the militant said it was beyond his powers to do so noting that untill he recieved further directives from his Boss.
"We are juniors, we cannot grant your wish but our commanders can. So we cannot be able to help you,"said the Terrorists in the phone conversation.
The family member then requested that he want to speak with one of the girls.
In their conversation in Chibok language, one of the girls said the terrorists “are in hundreds”.These people are too many. For now, we are only three girls in their custody,” she said.
