...Charge other troops to redouble efforts against insurgency
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has presented the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Award to 3 Soldiers in Operation HADIN KAI for acts of gallantry in the ongoing Operation DESERT SANITY.
The COAS gave the commendation today, Tuesday, 5 April, 2022 during his Operational visit to Headquarters Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI.
On arrival, the COAS was received by the Theatre commander Major General Christopher Gwabin Musa in Maimalari Cantonment in company of the Deputy Theatre Commander, the General Officer Commanding 7 Division/Commander Sector 1 OPHK and other Principal Staff Officers of OPHK.
General Yahaya commenced the tour with an operational visit to 107 Equipment Support where he inspected some newly acquired military hardwares and thereafter visited 402 Special Forces (SF) Brigade to also inspect equipment recovered from SAMBISA forest by the SF Brigade during the clearance operation by troops of OPHK and was later briefed by the Commander, 402 SF Brigade, Brigadier General EU Effiong.
