The Lagos state government just came, marked their home for demolition and gave them a 48hrs ( two days) ultimatum to move out of where they have called home for years. A place that they paid for and they have the papers to prove it. This is not right. The slogan is Eko ni Baje, but the government itself wants to spoil it for their occupants. #NoToilegalDemolition
#NoToOppression
Good day sir. I know this isn't the usual platform for this but I just have to create as much awareness as possible. The Lagos state government came on Friday to mark houses at Aboru Iyanapaja for demolition because they want to build an estate. There are houses including my dads that have all the appropriate documents. They just brought a letter yesterday and asked us to evict in 48hrs. We don't have anybody. No big lawyer or people in high places. All we have is God. This is a house I grew up in. This isn't a makeshift house, it's a double two bedroom flat. It isn't on the road or anything. Rumor has it that Ambode himself visited the area twice to inspect for demolition. Where does he want us to go? My family has stayed here for 20 years. This is a house my dad built when he was young with his hard earned money.  Now they want to build estate and give it to people that weren't there when we started struggling. This place was all bush when we moved in. We made it what it is through sickness and bad amenities. Now it's opening up and they want us to leave to God knows where. Pls and pls, I beg anyone and everyone to help us beg the Lagos state government to leave our houses alone. If he wants an estate he can do that without sending us away and destroying the roof over our head. We just want to live in our house in peace. Pls Sir help post, someone on your TL might be able to help. Anybody at all. We don't even know where to start from. Gov Ambode should have mercy please.

Thank you sir
