Voting is over and collation of the results is underway in Ondo state.
Fourteen political parties participated in the local government election. The All Progressives Congress (APC) failed to stop the election, despite appealing to the Federal High Court in the state’s capital, Akure.
The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission confirms the election was peaceful. No violence, snatching
of ballot boxes and sensitive election materials is recorded.
