In the evening of Tuesday, July 21, President Muhammadu
Buhari is set to be interviewed by renowned CNN chief
international correspondent, Christiane Amanpour.
Buhari interviewed by Amanpour in February, before the
presidential election
The renowned media personality took to her Twitter account
to disclose that the interview would be held at 8pm (Central
European Time). See the tweet below:

The meeting would be part of Buhari’s 4-day visit to the
United States. Yesterday the Nigerian leader met with his
US colleague Barack Obama. The two politicians discussed
the issues of economy and security in Nigeria. Obama
expressed confidence in Buhari’s sincere commitment to
defeating Boko Haram and eliminating corruption in the
country.
Interestingly to note: as of 2014, Christiane Amanpour has
been recognized as one of the journalists most world
leaders follow on Twitter (based on a report by the PR firm
Burson-Marsteller).
The interview promises to be interesting and informative, as
it is not the first time the renowned correspondent will be
questioning Buhari.
It should be recalled that before the presidential election
Buhari already spoke at Christiane Amanpour’s show . He
was asked about his past as a military ruler and his plans
to defeat Boko Haram.
With almost two months under the the new administration,
the Nigerian president is expected to be asked about the
specific measures and further goals.
