There have been sporadic shootings at the Ijapo residence of Chief Olusola Oke along Royal Birds hotel on Wednesday after the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday.
According to an eyewitness, one of the over zealous security aides mistakenly shot at an 11yr old Oreoluwa hawking bottles of kerosene from a nearby street. The police officer was said to have been heavily drunk as a result of the flamboyant party organized by Chief Oke to mark his defection to the new party.
Mother of the slain boy, Tinuke Fagbemi, has reported the case to the Ijapo Police station for necessary action. As at the time of filling this report, neither Chief Olusola Oke nor any of his aides has showed up for questioning.
The corpse has been deposited at the Ondo State Specialists Hospital morgue in Akure.
