Court of Appeal has thrown out a petition filed by the
candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2014
governorship election in Osun State, Senator Iyiola
Omisore, against the victory of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
The court, sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, threw
out Omisore’s petition on Thursday.
It went on to affirm the election of Aregbesola.
It said Aregbesola, the candidate of the All Progressives
Congress, remains the validly elected governor of Osun
State.
